As well as our own, we recommend several websites for further information about Scotland for travellers of and visitors to it's north coast route

About This Site

This website is a fan based project dedicated to the Scottish tourist route officially known as the North Coast 500 but commonly referred to as Scotland's Route 66. Our pages contain an emporium of information submitted by users of the route and holiday-makers from recent years. We hope you enjoy reading our pages as much as we enjoyed writing them.

The official route was devised by the North Highland Initiative (NHI), set up by Prince Charles to showcase the area, and is an excellent choice for motorhome, car or motorbike enthusiasts, as well as cyclists, campers, and walkers wanting to immerse themselves in the most scenic parts of Scotland.

Wander... Explore... Discover... with Scotland's Route 66.
