 CASTLE SINCLAIR & GIRNIGOE

Castle Sinclair & Girnigoe

Without doubt one of the best castles in the Highlands. To miss, this would be such a shame.
The castle is situated about 3 miles (ca. 5 km) north of Wick close to Noss Head Lighthouse.

It is considered to be one of the earliest seats of Clan Sinclair. It comprises the ruins of two castles: the 15th-century Castle Girnigoe; and the early 17th-century Castle Sinclair.

The Castle is precariously on a cliff edge and the scenery here is spectacular.

It is certainly one that should be on your list
